Rivers and Spires Festival Wins International Award
Rivers and Spires Festival, Inc. was awarded the International Festivals & Events Association’s Silver Grand Pinnacle last week at the 54th annual IFEA convention and expo. This prestigious award sponsored by Haas & Wilkerson Insurance represents one of the top honors in the festival industry. This is the second time the Festival has been recognized with an IFEA Grand Pinnacle award.
A second Silver Pinnacle was also awarded to the Rivers and Spires Festival for Best New Event and the Quilts of the Cumberland quilt show.
Rivers and Spires Festival is produced by the Clarksville-Montgomery County Convention & Visitors Bureau in conjunction with the City of Clarksville, Montgomery County government, and area sponsors. This professional competition drew over 1,000 entries this year from among the world’s top festivals and events.
Clarksville CVB Chairman Jerry Allbert said, “It is wonderful that a volunteer-driven event can garner this much prestige and recognition. The Rivers and Spires Festival helps put our community on the map each year. We are especially appreciative of our sponsors, volunteers, and supporters that make this event possible.”
The 2010 Rivers and Spires Festival is scheduled for April 15 through 17 in Historic Downtown Clarksville. Visit Rivers & Spires Festival for event details.
