Clarksville Lands Kiwanis 2010 Convention
The Kentucky-Tennessee Kiwanis will hold their 2010 District Convention in Clarksville. The dates for the convention are September 9-11, 2010. There are approximately 5,000 members in the KY-TN District.
The local Kiwanis groups Downtown Kiwanis Club & Hilldale Kiwanis Club will be facilitating this convention along with the Clarksville-Montgomery County Convention and Visitors Bureau. David Harper, Chairman of the 2010 Convention said he is “excited at the opportunity to host such a large event and to showcase the city of Clarksville.” Activities for the convention include a golf tournament, a Southern-style luncheon, and tours of Clarksville.
The convention will run in conjunction with the City of Clarksville’s Riverfest celebration (September 10-11, 2010). The Kiwanis will have a booth at Riverfest and hopefully participate in the Riverfest Regatta.
